We keep our distance with a silent force, To slowly drift you to a safer course.
007skaty A swarm of small spacecraft uses lightweight mirrors to concentrate sunlight, vaporizing asteroid surfaces to create thrust without
007skaty A spacecraft shoots a bright laser beam at a colorful, screen-printed asteroid
007skaty Tug space rocks using gravity to discover how cosmic nudges alter orbital paths.
Towing power: A gravity tractor spacecraft weighs about as much as a small car, yet it can redirect a billion-ton asteroid.
What is the main disadvantage of "slow push" deflection methods like gravity tractors?
What natural force is exploited when we paint an asteroid to change its heat radiation?
Who first proposed the gravity tractor asteroid deflection concept in a 2005 paper?
